Join us for our annual Family Volunteer Day on Saturday,  August 8th, at 9:00 am! It is the perfect opportunity to support our school community while earning your volunteer hours!

Come lend a hand with small projects around campus, or, if you’re short on time, donate needed supplies and tools. Both hands-on help and supply donations count toward your volunteer hours.

It’s a great opportunity to meet other school families and help us keep our campus beautiful and ready for another amazing year. We can’t wait to see you there!

Our overnight trip to Betsy Jeff Penn 4H educational center for our MAP students.

Each year, in honor of International Peace Day, our students participate in a school wide project. This year’s theme is “Invest in Peace – for everyone, everywhere, every day.”

Twice a year, we capture special memories with school picture days! In the fall, students have their individual photos taken, with an option for siblings who are enrolled in the school to be photographed together.

In the spring, we take class pictures and individual yearbook photos, providing a wonderful keepsake of your child’s time with their friends and teachers.

The most anticipated event of the year! Join us as we camp on our field and enjoy a night full of science activities and adventures!

We are excited to launch a new fundraiser this year! The Charleston wrap fundraiser gives families the opportunities to purchase various wrapping papers and gifts through a really awesome catalog!

🎃👻 Join us for a fun-filled Trunk-or-Treat!

Students are invited to dress up in their favorite storybook costumes and enjoy candy, treats, and fun! Parents, we’d love your help decorating your vehicle, handing out candy, and helping to make this event another memorable experience for everyone.

It’s a fantastic volunteer opportunity and a great way to connect with other parents while creating a fun and safe school tradition. We hope to see you there! 🍬🚗🎃

Twice a year, we host Parent-Teacher Conferences to provide an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, review their individual learning plan, and set goals for the future. These meetings are a valuable time to connect with your child’s teacher and ensure that we’re all working together to support their growth and success.

Reading is fundamental and this event gets children reading like never before! The more books children read, the more opportunities they have for book fair perks!

This event is hosted by our PTO and is an exclusive movie night for all TNS families! Bring a picnic dinner or order in. Be sure to dress warm and bring blankets. Free and fun family event!

We’re excited to welcome the Scholastic Book Fair to The New School Montessori Center from November 16–20! This is a fantastic opportunity for students and families to discover new books, build home libraries, and support our school community.

The fair will be open during school hours throughout the week, with special evening shopping during Family Discovery Night on Tuesday, November 17, at 5:30 PM, plus an additional afternoon shopping window on Friday.

Each year we set up a drive for giving using our holiday tree.

We are excited to invite you to our Annual Gala & Silent Auction on Friday, January 15, 2027, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the American Legion Post 116.

This year’s theme is Western, so dust off your cowboy boots, grab your favorite hat, and join us for a night of fun, community, and fundraising!

The evening will feature:

• A lively Western-themed celebration

• Line dancing for all skill levels

• An exciting silent auction with fantastic items to bid on

• Time to connect with fellow families, friends, and staff

• Plenty of laughter and memorable moments

Your attendance helps make this event a success, and every dollar raised supports programs and opportunities that benefit our community. Whether you’re ready to dance, bid on unique auction items, or simply enjoy a fun night out, we’d love to see you there!

Travel the World With Us! 🌏

Not long after TNS was founded in 1984, The New School organized its very first International Night, which soon became an annual tradition. Created to immerse students in the rich diversity of world cultures, the event was designed to celebrate the variety, complexity, and uniqueness of cultures from all over the world. Over time, this purpose has grown to encompass peace curriculum topics and continues to promote tolerance, cultural sensitivity, and acceptance of individual differences. This longstanding event reflects the global perspective at the core of our peace curriculum, helping children recognize and develop an appreciation not only for the geographical and cultural characteristics of other countries, but also for the diversity and similarities that we all share.

At the beginning of each school year, every classroom selects a country to study throughout the year. As students explore their chosen country, they engage in activities that celebrate its culture through food, language, music, artifacts and art, traditional costumes, research projects, and more. Each year, students, teachers, and volunteers go above and beyond to transform their classrooms into vibrant showcases of the countries they have been studying.

Now, 40 years later, International Night continues as a daytime celebration, with each classroom participating in its own unique format. This year, you are invited to visit [countries TBA]. You will have the chance to taste traditional food, enjoy presentations, explore artifacts and students’ research, and listen to music representative of each country.

This week is dedicated to thanking our teachers and staff for all of their hard work throughout the year.

Be on the lookout for details from classroom representatives.

Our MAP students plan and perform a short play and translate it into Spanish! Afterwards, they also recite various types of poetry. MAP families are invited to attend.

Our fun filled day with classic field day challenges for our students. Teams are formed and competition is fierce! Lots of volunteer opportunities as well!

A night for the entire family – join other TNS families in our section at the Holly Springs Salamanders on Sunday, May 31! Game time is 5:05 PM.

Your ticket includes entry to the game, your seat, and all you can eat buffet. Our section is right next to the playground which makes it easy to get out of your seat and run off excess energy when needed!
