There are a few tasks that each room needs to complete before the start of the year, and I wanted to touch base with you all about sending me the info so I can update the general resources doc.

I have listed the items below and what I need from you guys. Please respond to this email thread with your information. Thank you!

  • Welcome Letter - Date sent to families

Training

Below are some links to possible training if you are interested. I have also included the training reimbursement policy.

  • If all required hours are completed and submitted prior to the last day of school, staff members will receive $50 towards the total cost of their classes. Receipts and certificates must be submitted before reimbursement is given.
  • If all hours are completed by teacher workweek (in August), staff members will receive $25 towards what they paid for their classes. Receipts and certificates must be submitted before reimbursement is given.
  • If all required hours are completed and submitted after September 1, employees will not receive any reimbursement for their classes. The employee will also be suspended without pay from duties until their training is complete.

Please note: If you need hours but want to attend a scheduled training session that falls after the cutoff, please email administration, and exceptions to the reimbursement policy may be given. ProSolutions, Moodle, and Child Care Lounge are all great places for free or low-cost training options.

Clubs

If interested in hosting an after-school club, please let me know what your subject will be and a couple of options for days. We will be limiting the number of teachers to ensure we have the needed staffing, so it will be first come, first serve.

We are still working on the afterschool policy and fees and will update you when they are finalized. Also, there are some additional guidlines for clubs moving forward.

  1. For CH teachers, your club will need to be scheduled for your planning day.
  2. We are limiting clubs to one club per teacher per season.
  3. All preparation and planning for clubs needs to take place outside of school hours.

Snack/Lunch Changes: Sample Language

Due to changes in the sanitation regulations, we ask that parents only send in shelf-stable items for morning and afternoon snacks (pretzels, crackers, cereal bars, etc.). Additionally, if you pack deli meat or dairy items in your child's lunch, these items must be packed in separate bags that zip closed. This bag must be labeled with your child's name and the date, in addition to labeling and dating the lunch box and water bottle. We have included links to example bags below.

We apologize for the inconvenience and understand this is frustrating. However, these new regulations are being monitored closely and impact our licensing. We thank you for your support in implementing these new rules.
