We are so very proud of our first OM competition teams for their performances at the beginning of the month. Our division 1 team (LE) placed 4th in the long problem. The team delivered a wonderful narrative filled with creativity and problem solving, even responding quickly and confidently when their canvas frame suddenly broke. After watching presentations from other teams, their performance stood out as one of the most cohesive in conveying a message. It was truly enjoyable, and the robot hat was impressive to say the least! Our division 2 team (UE & MAP) took 3rd in regionals and are runners-up for the state competition! They adeptly navigated a few technical challenges and went on to place 3rd in the regional division, and they also qualified for the state competition! Their confidence shone through, as did their creativity. Their performance was memorable and well deserving of the accolade they received. Plus, who doesn’t love a story about unicorns in Scotland?
Well done to our students and to the coaches who poured countless hours of time and energy into making this initial voyage into our OM journey so enjoyable and successful!
