Dear TNS Families,
We want to thank all of you for your patience and encouragement in these strange times. Our Elementary and MAP students are now in their fourth week of distance learning. Your comments and feedback as we began this process were helpful and encouraging.
We are now developing strategies to ensure our students’ continued engagement as we remain online through April and much of May — more live group lessons, for instance, and real time follow up with individual students.
Our lower and upper elementary and the adolescent program will continue with on-line learning until the school’s reopening, currently projected to be May 18.
Distance Learning in Brief
Our elementary and adolescent students are involved in learning activities each day. These may range from online video conferences between teachers and small groups, with individuals, or even the entire classroom community. Students are actively working on assignments in mathematics, the language arts, science, history, Spanish, and soon music and art.
Everywhere, people are finding ways to continue and promote community, and we appreciate those of you have reached out to us with greetings, comments and suggestions. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone together in school. In the meantime, enjoy the weather, find a good balance between home and work, enjoy your children, and stay safe with your families.
