It is one of the highlights of the school year……our annual sleep away trip to Camp Don Lee! Our lower elementary students went on a 3 day excursion to Camp Don Lee located at the coast in Arapahoe, NC. The students were able to explore and study various rivers, ponds and  coastal environments where they learned about the components of freshwater food webs and explored various pond species. They also did some fishing where they learned about the historic and economic importance of fishing here in NC. The days were also filled with sailing, canoeing, archery, campfire songs in the evenings and just lots of good old camp fun! Overall, memories were made that will last a lifetime!
