We are excited about incorporating the “Odessey of the mind” program at our school this year. Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving competition where teams develop unique solutions to open-ended problems through performances and presentations.  Our two teams, consisting of a lower and upper elementary group, are planning for their first competition next month. The teams will head to an all-day event where the theme is “Lost in OMer land”. The teams will engineer a trip assistant (robot) that will need to perform movements based on “malfunctions” during the trip. We wish our teams well and can’t wait to see how they place during this competition!
